From 2004 – 2005, she was High Sheriff of Suffolk. From 2005 to 2010, she was independent chair of the Suffolk Strategic Partnership.

Having herself been a victim of child sexual abuse, Minnie aims to further raise the profile of the charity, encourage more children and young people who have been victims of sexual abuse to come forward and receive help, as well as support the charity in gaining more financial support through fundraising and donations.
Born in Ipswich, Kieron Dyer played football for his home club Ipswich Town making nearly 100 league appearances for the clubs first team. He was sold to Newcastle United for £6 million, at the time the highest fee paid for and Ipswich player. Dyer represented England on 33 occasions between 1999 and 2007.
Kieron was a victim of sexual abuse when he was a boy and he hopes that by speaking out about his own past this will encourage others to speak out about theirs.
He is looking forward to his role as ambassador and will aim to raise the profile of Fresh Start – new beginnings and support the charity with future events.
Claire has experience of working across the private, public and voluntary sectors. Claire spent four years in Local Government Housing and Planning in London; three years as an economist with the CBI; and 16 years as a Director of a shipping company in the City, growing the company from scratch and concentrating on legal and financial matters. Latterly, Claire has been involved in the creation and development of The Suffolk Community Foundation.
Diana has worked with children and families for the past 40 years in a variety of statutory and voluntary settings, working both in England and in Africa. Diana has worked within the child sexual abuse field for many years and was a Service Manager for a large national charity before founding Fresh Start – new beginnings. She is a registered Social Worker.
Malcolm has over 40 years’ experience of working with children and families in crisis, and within child protection work. He was an Assistant Director of Children’s Services for a national children’s charity before becoming an independent practitioner. Malcolm brings a wealth of knowledge and management experience to the charity.
Anita has worked in early years and childcare for over twenty year. As well as being involved in her own nurseries she is an EYFS Consultant. Anita has been involved in fund-raising for children’s charities for the past fifteen years.
Sandra was Head of Reward for BT for many years. Following her recent early retirement she has joined the board of trustees and is assisting the charity with its policy writing and HR management which are her areas of expertise.
Sue has recently retired after working for eight years as Senior Grants Officer with The Suffolk Community Foundation. Sue’s previous experience includes working for the Home Office, and within Special Educational Needs for Essex County Council.
Brian has worked for an international bank for 24 years as a manager dealing with a portfolio of medium size enterprises. He also worked for six years as a business mentor with an Enterprise Agency.
David has been a Police Officer for 22 years, and has spent the last three years working in the area of vulnerable people, which includes Child Abuse investigations. David is also a full member of the Suffolk Safeguarding Children’s Board.
David has a Masters Degree in Business Administration.
Philip has worked in the banking sector for 37 years. For the last 20 years Philip has worked as a Relationship Director working with ‘Not for Profit’ Corporate clients.
