Ipswich-based Charity Achieves Quality Standard Recognition for Its Services to Children and Young People

4th March 2019

Fresh Start new beginnings has been the Quality Standard Mark from Community Action Suffolk in recognition of its commitment to its high quality service delivery to children and young people. The award comes after a rigorous process of evidence collection and demonstration through an online portfolio.

The charity works with children and young people up to the age of 21 across Suffolk and Norfolk, delivering a therapeutic service to those who have disclosed sexual abuse. It works to take away the blame, shame and feelings of guilt and also offers support for families.

Jacqui Wilkinson, Community Action Suffolk Training and Quality Standards Development Officer, offered congratulations to Fresh Start – new beginnings for achieving the Community Action Suffolk Quality Standard Award and added “achievement of the CAS Quality Standard reflects Fresh Start – new beginnings’ commitment and dedication to being an effective, well run organisation. We are delighted to add FSNB to the many Voluntary and Community Sector organisations who have achieved the CAS Quality Standard.  Quality Standard organisations are ambassadors of the Voluntary and Community sector in Suffolk.

We are proud of the great work they are doing to support Suffolk communities. The Quality Standard is supported by Suffolk County Council and the Suffolk Safeguarding Children and Adults Boards.”
