Charity ball raises a staggering £17,000

The ball which was recently held at Milsoms,  Kesgrave Hall was attended by local businesses and supporters of the charity which aims to raise awareness and to support those who have suffered from sexual abuse.

“I would like to thank all those who worked so hard to make the ball such a sparkling never to be forgotten evening.” Commented Diana Porter, Founder and CEO of Fresh Start – new beginnings. “I would especially like to thank the four amazing ladies who masterminded the evening with such precision and style. I would like to thank Milsoms and the whole team involved in the evening for their attention to detail, everything was just perfect and everyone had the most fantastic evening. To be able to raise £17, 000 in one evening was just unbelievable and donations are still coming in! This money will make such a difference to the work we are able to do with the children and young people who use our service. A huge thank you to everyone for their generosity, this money will really make a difference.”

Anita Huckle, one of the organisers of the event commented: “The feedback we had was amazing. I would like to thank everyone who attended the event, sponsored, donated or bought an auction prize or donated to the charity on the night. Our CEO Diana’s emotive speech left everyone inspired and wanting to help the charity, which is so important to us as a small local charity.”
